I see there are 2 new form fields available. the Date range and Time Range. I am not seeing what use case for these fields. Edit Of course i see the use cases…reservation bookings, flights etc. From the help section the date field is described as this “Enable users to select a date range in a single form field” Can I say use the time range to calculate how much time is spent on something. Likewise get the days spent doing a task with the date range. Or is it an input from the user suggesting they might be on vacation from one date to another.

The use case can absolutely be the number of days spent on a task, but the field does require a manual input from the user.
